Attaching Mounting Plates to Your Poker Table Legs
At this point, you have two options. You can either completely remove the base of your poker table and attach the base directly to the legs, or you can build very simple mounting plates to make attaching and detaching the legs very simple. This is beneficial if you want to move or store the poker table at any point.
To accomplish this task, all we need is 4 pieces of plywood 10″x10″ (the actual size is not that important) and eight 2″ wood screws. Simply add a light coat of wood glue to the top of each table leg, center the mounting plates (plywood) on top, and drive in a couple of 2″ screws to hold it in place (Figure 4-1).
Now you’re ready to mount these new legs to the bottom of your poker table. To do so simply lay the table top on top of the poker table legs and drive 1 1/4″ screws through the bottom of each corner of each mounting plate. Pretty simple.
